REPLAY: We Be Jammin' Live From The Disaster Room

Jammin' first this week, then chatter! Simple as that. Musically, the Polybrute and Take 5 ended up taking center stage, along with the Wavestate Native plugin and a little bit of OpSix for some fun synth jams. And I talked a little more about the Kontrol S custom user

REPLAY: Gallimaufry Collective JamTaba Live Synth Jam

Yesterday, we had another live jam using ninjam to connect four musicians from around the globe to make some live music. As usual, it was great fun! Unfortunately, though, a glitch caused the first ten minutes of my live stream to fail. Here, however, is what YouTube did capture: Other

REPLAY: Tempted by the Synth of Another

There was a sale. It was tempting. But, why? United Audio put their Opal Morphing Wavetable Synth on sale. Aside from granular synthesis, morphing is one of the other things that really grabs my attention. The ability to smoothly transition back and forth between sounds or elements of sounds is

REPLAY: Jams and Rants from Yours Truly

A video wherein I grumble and groan about a problem in Ableton Live 12, and other things go oddly wrong, I press wrong buttons, and Ableton crashes on me and I have to reboot the PC (at least I wasn't using OBS!). Still, there's fun and

REPLAY: The Droning Hour v2.0 - Return of the Worldwide Internet Synth Jam

Download 2024_05_26_Jam_s.mp3 Ooops, we did it again! It's a world-wide live jam with participants from all over the world! (well, that was one from the Department of Redundancy Department, wasn't it...) Anything could happen here! Join the merry band as

REPLAY: Designing Sounds on Hardware Synths

A fun evening messing around with the Sequential Take 5 (including an explanation on why the Take 5 is NOT a Prophet) and the Arturia PolyBrute. The sounds made on the stream will figure into the next Droning Hour! I also share a few thoughts on Native Instruments and my

REPLAY: The Droning Hour - Worldwide Internet Synth Jam

I've been off in uncharted territory frequently lately, and today was about as far into the weeds as I possibly could possibly go: a live jam with five musicians on a Jamtaba NinJam server, with four of us streaming simultaneously, and a fifth uploading an audio stream after

REPLAY: Back From Vegas, Baby, and Ready to JAM!

It's uncharted territory again this time! I've been on the road, but I'm back and ready to jam! Dawesome Myth was lightly explored, along with the controversial Behringer Vintage. I obviously need to RTFM for Myth! But I found a really nice Myth preset

REPLAY: No Plan! Space Ambient Mind Meld Jam (and stuff)

It's uncharted territory this time around! No plan, just a Space Ambient Mind Meld Jam and chat. The skinny: It was a fun time! Behringer's new Vintage VST was mentioned and at least shown briefly. My license key hasn't shown up yet, so I

Jamuary 2024 Day Thirty-One: THE GRAND FINALE!

This is it! The final jam for #jamuary2024! So, what's up for today's stream? Musical madness ensues.
