I've been sitting on the release of this song for a couple of weeks now -- I couldn't bring myself to finish and upload the song. The Long Goodbye is about loss; about saying goodbye to friends and loved ones taken by diseases like cancer or dementia or any others that result in deteriorating capacity as we stand helplessly by.
