Last week, I made the assertion that as far as I was concerned, the closest you'll come to actually getting Arturia's Pigments in hardware form is the Arturia Astrolab. This works, at least for me (and a lot of other people), because I like to do my sound design in the box and transfer the preset to hardware when possible. I also commented that, realistically, you don't need access to every control in a VST from the hardware instrument because in general, you're only manipulating a few key controls or groups of controls. That's where macros come in.
