When I got up this morning, I wasn't sure what I was going to do for #jamuary2023 today. It's the 24th day, by-the-way. As of last night, I hadn't planned on using the Wavestate at all. But, lacking a plan leads to rash decisions. And so ... Wavestate it is ...

And to be honest, I'm glad I changed my mind. When I first got the Wavestate, I referred to it as "Berlin School in a box," but it can be so much more (some of my initial thoughts about the Wavestate can be [read in this post](https://gerenm.mymagic.page/korg-wavestate-a-most-versatile-sound-creation-tool/)).

Today, I used only the Wavestate and the Boss RC-3 looper. Four presets (okay, Korg call them "performances") provide the underlying pads, the drum-and-bass, and the melody. Ableton Live was used only for recording and some master compression.

I'm getting convinced that I could really do some live solo work with a couple of synths (Wavestate, opsix, MicroFreak?) and a good looper -- or a good way to control the live looping functions in Ableton Live, and with the new studio inching closer to completion, you'll soon get to see that happen on my [YouTube Channel](https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCwOKIO0P80T9XUk0KhhB5IQ?ref=gerenm.mymagic.page) (you will want to be subscribing to that, if you haven't already).
